  2. Repeat Purchaser - Great Product 5 Star Review

A great product. The only think I'd add since my earlier review is that skis with dense binding mounting areas (i.e. maple, ash, etc.) can sometimes be a bit more difficult to install the inserts into, but that's a good thing.

I've added a step to the process. After tapping the holes, I run a screw back and forth in the holes (same thread pitch as the inserts' o.d. - 5/16-18).

Chasing the threads out in this manner makes for a smoother installation in these skis.

  3. Great Product - It's All Been Written Before 5 Star Review

About the only thing I'd add to all of the stellar reviews is that if you think you'll be swapping bindings on a daily basis, you likely will not do this. I look at this as a solution which: (1) gives you better pull-out strength, (2) allows you to drill several locations to experiment with mount points without having to constantly plug/re-drill (3) Shift bindings a few times during the season (i.e. mount to rock skis in November and shift to another pair of skis later in the season). (4) Experiment with a ski you are considering re-purposing from in-area to touring use.

  4. Greatest thing since sliced bread 5 Star Review

I have used these inserts on 6 pairs of skis with multiple sets of bindings. Never a worry about bindings pulling out of skis. Easy to swap bindings. Good stuff!

GREAT product. Be careful and measure measure measure before you drill.

  7. Two thumbs up! 5 Star Review

Every couple years I buy some more inserts when I get a new pair of skis or bindings. They work just as advertised, if the skis have already been mounted with those bindings it is super simple to add the inserts, for a first time mount it takes a little more care, but is still no big deal. Lots of great uses: swap between tele and alpine bindings or alpine and AT bindings on a single set of skis; or, share a single pair of bindings between multiple skis (e.g. you don't have to leave a set of bindings on your rock skis). Totally worth the $20 or $25 dollars, I'll never mount another set of skis without them!

  8. As Advertised 5 Star Review

Quality hardware as described. Having worn out my 75mm telemark norm boots/bindings, I ordered a batch of these inserts along with various screw sizes to mount my new NTN setup, a rather costly binding from a little company in France called the M. These inserts will allow me to quickly switch the pricey binding between all my sets of skis for different conditions!

  9. Insert perfection 5 Star Review

I've Binding Freedom-ed every ski I own, and these things are fantastic. They are strong, easily installed and work perfectly with the supplied screws. You would never know that they are there whilst skiing, but they have the added benefits of being stronger than a typical screw, and giving you the ability to change bindings between skis.

I can totally recommend Binding Freedom products and I will continue to make use of them into the future.

  10. Easy to install; secure 5 Star Review

These inserts are very easy to install. They are well machined, screw smoothly into the tapped holes, and the mounting screws screw smoothly into them.
