Quality materials and works fine

Solid tap handle that holds the a tap well. Only complaint is that the T handle slides very loosely in and out of the hole in the shaft. A tighter fit would make it easier to work with the handle.

Tap handle wrenches are pretty ubiquitous and can be purchased a lot of places. Buying this tap handle is not essential to getting the job done, but the convenience of its availability here is nice.
The issue we had is getting the tap tight enough to not spin inside the tap wrench while cutting the threads. The receiving end of the tap wrench is round, but the bits that go in have a square taper. In order to get the bits to not spin when tapping the treads I need to use pliers or vice grips to make the bit tight enough to not spin. Making it "hand tight" was not enough. This could be alleviated if the receiving end of the tap had a square hole, similar to a modern cordless drill or impact driver. There was nothing wrong with the quality of wrench, but this issue highlights the average three-star rating.
